Writing and Trekking are my twin passions.
For one, I go to 5,364 metres above MSL.
For another, I work day and night to bring the best quality writing for you.
Engineer -> MBA -> Corporate (Aam Zindagi)
Corporate Career -> Writer (Mentos Zindagi)
I create narratives for individuals and businesses through long- and short-form storytelling. With 7+ years of corporate experience spanning 4 different industries and roles, I bring a wealth of knowledge to the table, which I fully intend to utilize in my writing.
My Past:
My career has been a series of twists and turns, some by choice, some unexpected. I prepared for GATE throughout my B. Tech., intending to stay in the "Core" sector. I started in a government PSU job, totally intending to work there until my retirement.
But then, FOMO hit me when people all around me were going for MBAs. I found myself in XLRI, a square peg in a culture of cutthroat competition. I still have mixed feelings about the MBA structure in India, which glorifies manufactured crises with its high-pressure culture in imitation of the Indian corporate culture. It's a chicken and egg story.
A series of jobs followed, my payslips kept increasing, while I kept feeling like an alien in whichever company I went to. People around me were (and are) putting in 80-100 hour weeks, working on weekends like automatons chasing their next EMI.
Confusion:
I was puzzled. Is that what life should be? Is it just an endless chase to buy the next home, car, iPhone, or whatever new flashy thing is in vogue that year.
Conclusion:
After 5 years of this suffering, I had enough. I love to travel. I had finally arrived at what I wanted to do in this life.
1. Writing, because a man's gotta feed himself.
2. Travel, because a man's gotta feed his soul too.
Now, on to the boring stuff:
🎓 Education: I hold an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur and a B.Tech. from MANIT, Bhopal
